Chief Information Officer

Langham Partnership USA, Inc. NFP
Cave Creek, Arizona, United States

Categories: Information Technology
Job Type: Full-Time
Employee Workplace: Unspecified
Job Description:

Langham Partnership, a ministry initiated in 2002, works alongside national leaders to provide human and material resources to strengthen the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Our goal is to see strong and mature churches making an impact on the surrounding culture and advancing the kingdom of God. We want to see the Bible changing the church, so that the church, under God, can change the world.

Langham Partnership is comprised of six national members (UK, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Canada), and works in partnership with, and at the invitation of local church leaders, in 131 countries.

We seek to consolidate IT planning and implementation under the new office of a Chief Information Officer. The CIO role will provide the infrastructure Langham needs to operate efficiently and effectively, to equip leaders for the global church.

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will provide technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of affiliate-wide information technologies.  The CIO will lead the Langham members in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support both distributed and centralized ministry operations and achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations.

Within the broader CIO purview, the first priority for the CIO is to implement a robust, integrated technology solution for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to increase fund-raising significantly.  Each national member of Langham Partnership raises funds to support Langham’s ministry programs. Today, each member has its own system and methods for storing and managing donor data. Rather than continuing down the multiple paths of unique solutions, Langham seeks a single solution that provides consistent, secure information about our current and prospective donors and our contact with them. The immediate goal for implementing a more complete CRM solution is the successful execution of a global capital campaign, raising the necessary funds to bring all aspects of Langham’s Strategic Plan to life.

The CIO will be a key member of Langham’s global leadership team, reporting to the Executive Director of Langham Partnership International.  He or she will be a mature Christian, able to affirm the Langham Partnership statement of faith and values, and wholeheartedly able to endorse the Langham vision and mission. Langham Partnership is both an equal opportunity employer and a faith-based religious organization. We conduct hiring without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, age, sex, marital status, parental status, membership in any labor organization, political ideology, or disability of an otherwise qualified individual. The status of Langham Partnership as an equal opportunity employer does not prevent the organization from hiring staff based on their religious beliefs so that all staff share the same religious commitment. Pursuant to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 702 (42 U.S.C. 2000e 1(a)) Langham Partnership has the right to, and does, hire only candidates who agree with Langham Partnership’s Statement of faith and values and mission and vision.

The applicant should have a minimum of seven years’ experience management and support of information systems and information technology; direct management of a major IT operation is preferred. Previous non-profit experience and a demonstrated understanding of global, multi-cultural interaction and technology are important.  This position will be located in the USA, ideally in the Phoenix, Arizona area details of which will be discussed in the interview process.

Closing Date for Applications: 30 June 2017
