Job Description:

Group Publishing is seeking a Front-End Web Developer and Designer to join our team. Group’s digital marketing team is a fast-paced, digital environment responsible for over 20 digital platforms experiences. This position is located in Loveland, CO.

 

This individual should function comfortably in an Agile environment and will engage in multiple projects simultaneously to define, create, and enhance web experiences ranging from small, content and visual updates to large, complex website builds to be delivered on time and within budget. This candidate must be open-minded, a team player, and strong communicator, have a thorough proficiency in applying and creating UX/UI design, extensive understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 along with solid understanding and ability to modify Javascript and jQuery. Candidate must possess a strong understanding of all components of responsive frameworks, specifically Twitter Bootstrap 3.XX.

 

Our digital marketing team serves the company similar to an agency by helping each individual business unit solve their unique digital needs. We encourage creativity and cutting edge technology while understanding business goals and limitation of resources.

 

What you will be doing: - Translate and develop wireframes and design comps into beautiful, functional website experiences using a responsive framework with HTML/CSS/Javascript - Define the structure of every web experience based on KPI metrics, branding guidelines, and best customer experience - Work with back-end web developers for server-side integration of front-end development work - Work with data analysts to build and test pages to achieve desired business metrics and revenue goals - Work with marketing and cross-functional teams on multiple projects simultaneously to understand project goals and deliver on-time web projects - Work with eCommerce team to continually drive great experiences that impact revenue and commerce goals - Research and analyze emerging digital platforms, practices, and methodologies to drive added value offerings - Assist with Front-End QA when required

 

Ideal candidate will possess:

Development Skills • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 • Working knowledge of quality client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery • Proficient in Photoshop, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications. Comfortable working with Vector and SVG graphics for web use • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them • Proficient in A/B testing and usability monitoring • Solid understanding of page speed optimization techniques • Good understanding of on-page SEO principles • Basic understanding of code versioning tools • Ability to communicate with back-end developers for troubleshooting and logic • Ability to work as a consultant with a larger team or independently as needed • Experience working with eCommerce websites

 

Education/Experience • 4+ years of experience desired in front-end design and web development for marketing and eCommerce websites • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Web Programming, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relatable technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Nice to have skills: • Experience with a server-side language such as PHP, Java, .NET, C# • Database Experience: MySQL or other relational databases • Experience building animation using CSS and animation frameworks such as Greensock • Ability to work with APIs • Ability to work with data objects such as JSON and XML
