Receptionist/Sales Assistant-Portland OR

Salem Media Group in Portland is offering a full-time Receptionist/Sales Assistant position designated to give hands-on experience to outgoing, responsible, enthusiastic, and friendly individuals to represent the company’s brand to listeners, customers, and employees.  

• Answer phones and greet visitors
• Prize fulfillment & coordination and direct contact with listeners and prize winners
• Work with the Marketing Director to represent the stations behind the scenes at station appearances and events, on social media, and on our website
• Help maintain company vehicles: fuel van/jeep for events and remotes, keep clean inside and out
• Work with the Sales Manager and sales staff to fulfill the needs of the clients
• Create content for social media posts, sales packages, and promotional pieces
• Some sales and promotions clerical work
• Other duties may be assigned as required

• Flexible, team-minded individual with strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism
• Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers
• Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and computer skills required
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Commit to a flexible schedule that includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be Punctual and have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 50lbs
