We have a wonderful male staff who is filling in for us since our main cook became ill and had to retire-however he needs to go back to his normal position here at Hope House.
If you have been a camp cook-cooking within a school setting-residential or skilled hospital setting background-please consider us!

Our children are full time with us having been adopted and losing their adoptive family and home. We have dorms with full services/sport teams in basketball/volleyball and flag football. We have a good accrediated school and a four day education plan K-12th grade.

In 1973, Donnalee Velvick saw a need for a home that would benefit "hard-to-place" kids. Children who have mental, physical, and/or emotional challenges often "fall through the cracks" in our society. Her dream grew and developed into Hope House Home For Children. Hope House is located just west of the city limits of Nampa, Idaho, on approximately 75 acres in six different homes according to age, gender, and ability. We provide a home for approximately 40 youths under the age of eighteen and approximately 20 disabled young adults. Our staff consists of twelve full-time volunteers who live on the premises, ten College Interns and student helpers, as well as teachers, cooks and support personnel.
