Associate Pastor of Spiritual Formation
The Associate Pastor of Spiritual Formation will assist the lead pastor in helping Pritchard Church meet their mission to “be the presence of Christ” in South End and Charlotte, NC. In conjunction with the lead pastor, form a spiritual development plan for membership of the congregation. This discipleship plan will include kids and youth ministries, as well as the Sunday School (potentially being renamed) and other groups. This pastor will help develop new leaders and facilitators as well as continual development for current leaders and facilitators. Supervisor is the lead pastor, and this pastor will be liaison to the Christian Education Committee and perhaps one more.
Qualifications and Experience
Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in theology or related field preferred
Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in a ministry related field, but experience and knowledge of key concepts will also be considered)
Ordained or willing to be ordained
Agreement to abide by the four theological principles that guide Pritchard Church (Authority of scripture, priesthood of all believers, autonomy of the local church, and separation of church and state)
Prefer a candidate that is willing and able to live in the South End/Dilworth neighborhood in order to be a strong pastoral presence in the immediate geography of the church facility
