Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team at Faith Community Church. The ideal candidate must have an active and growing relationship with Christ, demonstrating a commitment to walking with Jesus in their daily life. This person should embody the principles of Christian faith, leading by example in their spiritual journey, and inspiring others within the church community. The Technical Director’s primary responsibility is to champion the technical and production elements for Faith Community Church under the direction of the Worship Pastor. This staff member is responsible for all technology across both campuses and will seek to make Faith Community Church better in all AVL endeavors. This position will also serve as technical producer on weekends for worship services to include building and leading a team of production volunteers, managing stage set design, and worship/event experience planning elements. The Technical Director is responsible for implementing the Faith Community Church vision and values for the Production Team alongside the Worship Pastor and Senior Pastor. They will maintain the building network with frequent updates and patches, maintain campus computers, and manage inventory of all AVL needs across Faith Community Church.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Foster and maintain a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Model Christ-like behavior in interactions with congregation members, staff, and the wider community
- Responsible for supervising the audio/visual and technological functions of Faith alongside the Worship Pastor
- Manage physical inventory and distribution/delivery of new equipment and supplies
- Set up content for events and church-wide services using ProPresenter 7
- Program and maintain content for all Projectors, LED wall screens, and building monitors
- Manage and direct Front of House, Video Control, ProPresenter, and lighting for services or special events when needed
- Lead and manage all stage design implementation for all services and special events alongside the Worship Pastor
- Manages the installation, troubleshooting, or replacing equipment for all church wide AVL
- Cast vision and assist in the implementation of ideas within the church
- Train, invest in, and lead all production team volunteers alongside the Worship Pastor
- Organize and lead production training events
- Cross train team members on all duties so continuity is maintained for all services and events
- Assist other departments with production and technological needs for services and special events
- Regular preventative maintenance procedures
- Manage and maintain Main Network, Production Network, and all network-based equipment
- Manage and maintain cyber security systems
- Be the point of contact for all church IT needs
- Assist in the management and maintenance of all church computers
- Participate in church-wide events, retreats, and ministries
- Support the mission and direction of Faith Community Church
Preferred Qualifications:
- A deep and evident personal faith in Jesus Christ
- A consistent and ongoing commitment to spiritual growth and maturity
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in production-related field or at least 3+ years of progressive experience and strong working knowledge of audio, video, and lighting in a live environment
- Strong relational and organizational skills; ability to lead a volunteer team in a ministry environment
- Ability to oversee and produce a live weekend environment
- Previous management experience preferred
- Experience in software and hardware such as Pro Presenter 7, SubSplash, Planning Center, Slack, and Davinci Resolve
- Experience with cameras and video equipment
- Experience in network management/maintenance
- Extensive user of Mac OS
- Ability to communicate effectively and ask for clarification when needed
- Ability to trouble-shoot problems which may occur during a service and efficiently solve the issue
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with all church ministries
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move over 50lbs (moving lights, road cases, cameras, etc.)
- Must be able to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and climb to install production equipment
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for managing all volunteer production team members
